Memory of Jim Wilson
May 23, 1935 - September 17, 2008
You might call Jim a "draftee" member of IWA. Sara
signed him up as an associate member a year after she joined and told him he
would not have to do anything But that did not happen. Jim
became an active and loyal member of our organization. Oh, he might
grumble a little to Sara but she knew he did not really mean it. Each
year he was there to help in almost any way asked. He transported art
pieces to and from each annual exhibit, becoming a master at packing the
car. He helped with check-ins, hanging and taking down our exhibits,
assisting the judges and served as assistant treasurer and treasurer of IWA,
even exhibiting an award-winning photograph. He was one you could
always count on being there.
Jim considered his IWA friends among his best. Our
memories of Jim are full of love and laughter. That is what he would
want.
